The Great Outdoors! (and boy it's hot!!)

We had just come in from outside this afternoon and i tried to get a few more shots out of the camera...the low-battery light blinking at me the whole time.....and owen was soooo sleeeepy... although, he only slept about 20 minutes. oh well. we had a good time outside. he is trying to help me type right now, hands banging on the computer, then my leg, then his leg, then he tries to eat his toes, then eats my shirt...then more banging......just BUSY!!!

Sleepy boy...

hey, you looking at me??

There's so much to see in our backyard. We have found snakes, spiders, and mole tracks. the latter really upsets lee. he's so proud of his yard and that mole is making lots of messes in it! i think he regrets killing the snake a few weeks ago.
little mommy and her baby...

some of the gorgeous flowers we have blooming right now. anyone know what kind they are? i assume this is some type of lily...? all i know is they are so pretty. we've had irises, tons of azealeas, camelias, gardenias, and a few others we can't name....it's a wonderful place to live. you never know what you will find. of course, that goes for varments as well. snakes, spiders, squirrels, raccoons, moles...oh my...

oh, this is just SECONDS before a gigantic spider ran up owen's leg and i freaked! i scooped owen up and stripped his clothes off to make sure the 8-legged enemy was not still on him...ugh...i mean, i put him down for less than a minute and a spider just has to find us. sigh. so this is the only shot in the grass. one day we'll attempt it again.

oh, and a sweet, very quick turtle joined us outside.......he moved all over the backyard until he found a cozy spot in one of the bushes. we were really impressed with his speed. ha ha.

last weekend ... the bathing beauties trying to dry off and warm up before heading home from a day of swimming...............
owen just couldn't last the whole day. i wish i had a way to take pictures in the water. but just as sure as i tried, i would have dropped the camera or phone in the pool. but owen LOVED the water. i thought it might scare him because it was such a big pool and loud with all kinds of people splashing around us. but he thought it was great. it was a bit cool at first, but he played so hard...then just zonked out. have i mentioned lately how sweet he is?? he's such a good baby. Thank you Lord!

after his nap he was all cleaned up and ready for more fun!

cozy in my robe....

cool dude. lots of sunscreen and a hat!

I think we will have a great summer!!

Oh how jealous I am! I wish we had access to a pool! And that first flower is a day lily. The other two may be different kinds of lily as well, but it's hard to tell. Pictures of the leaves would be useful. =)
