So this is it...pictures from our last weekend as a four-some!! We had a busy one of course, as usual, and we wouldn't know what to do otherwise. we are now working baby owen into our crazy, fun routine. But last weekend we had a birthday party for one of olivia's friends friday night...birthday party for cousin Laura Keegan on Saturday (her FIRST!!), a baby shower for my partner in crime, Dawn...and of course TENN v. UM game! Then Sunday was our day to get ready for Owen's big arrival.

The Waiting Game

Well, even though I am technically not due until Nov 23, we all sure thought this baby was going to arrive early...so, we've all been packed up and ready to go since the first of the month. Since I've had so much time on my hands, I've enjoyed time away from work and the stresses of our normal routine. Between all the pains and contractions and doctor's visits, it has been very nice to just hang out at home and get things ready for baby. Lee and I have kept up the house and worked together to keep things clean and organized....in hopes that it will give us some sense of order once we bring home the new little man.

Right now I'm enjoying listening to the other three members of my household sing aloud to their ipods...all on a different song. Lee is teaching the girls some interesting dance moves and I'm very thankful that I have a husband who keeps us laughing. They are all cracking me up. And I'm thinking that in just a few days from now there will be another human being in our life...a new person in our house...another little personality to add to the mix...a boy of all things! What ever shall we do???

I know our lives will change drastically and I'm ready. Now, I may have to be reminded of this in a week or so, but I'm so thankful for this exciting new chapter in our life. I feel our family members in heaven sending special blessings to us...and I believe they've already met our little Owen. God prepare us to handle this amazing miracle you have entrusted to us.....

NOVEMBER!!

What a gorgeous start to one of my favorite months!!! Time changed and we had a fabulous first week of November. Lee raked leaves and pine straw, which was free therapy in itself...quiet time with nature can't be beat. Well, technically it was only quiet for a brief time, because the girls thought they should go out and help dad. Then there were frisbees caught on the roof, in the flower beds, under the deck...etc.etc.etc. But it was a great day outdoors! Finally, no rain!!

Rachel and her wings...

November 2--Happy Birthday to Rachel! Wings again......her dinner of choice? Hamburgers and chili??@!! But hey, it was all very good! And we put chili on top of baked potatoes...yum!
And she actually ate a lot of it. I was so proud.
Her webkinz was a caterpillar!

Ms. Mandy sent her home with a special happy birthday balloon...

and on another note...........

We tried for two weeks to get out Olivia's front two teeth...they had been so loose for so long. And last night we were actually a little nervous thinking they might fall out in her sleep! US ? PARANOID?? NEVER! I only got up about 3 times during the night to check her breathing. ha ha.
anyway.............they were very stubborn teeth.........so..............................
After a fairly traumatic trip to the dentist, numbing gel, two shots, and a few tears later.................
they are gone!
She was so big! And those teeth were not coming out at home, and dr hayes told us we were correct for bringing her in. her other teeth are already trying to come in behind these and her gums were wrapping themselves around the baby teeth, trying to hold them in! So she is all better now. And looks so grown up with the missing teeth and earrings. Sigh.
What a week!!

Halloween Weekend

(That would be Rachel, going down the slide backwards, OF COURSE!)

Well, we started the Halloween weekend with the wild birthday party and sleepover...which we did survive without any major catastrophes. Now we had a great Halloween day as well visiting with friends at Fred & Wilma Holloway's fall festival at their church. We ran into lots of friends and enjoyed the visiting, and the games and candy! And boy as soon as that sun went down, I was wishing for my jacket! I think this is the first time I've been pregnant and actually had a chance to enjoy a cool snap! It was fabulous!!!

Then we left the festival and headed to Uncle Billy's house for a hayride, and some yummy, delicious fall treats! (and some amazing chili!!) Memaw was dressed as a cat and Laura Keegan, Billy and Ashley were the Bat family...as in Bat Girl, Bat Baby and Batman! Of course, now i realize that I didn't actually get a picture of any of them! Sorry! It was a very fun night though. We piled onto a trailer and rode through the neighborhood for an hour or so...gathering candy and freezing to death! Lots of fun of course.

For some reason, every time we took pictures, my eyes would shut! Oh well, here are a few shots as we huddled together to stay warm :)
