What a Cotton-Pickin' Day!

Our sweet Mrs. West! We enjoyed the day at the cotton fields...thankfully didn't find any snakes, just beautiful, soft cotton, still wet with dew.

this goes along with the story time ... " ...and we picked and we picked and we picked and we picked.." then we "licked and we licked and we licked and we licked..."
very cute story.

we also learned that we 'get what we get and don't pitch a fit' ha ha

it was educating........

and fun......

and then we were ready for play time and lunch! interesting field trip. different. we enjoyed ourselves!

playing catch-up

silly girls

he loves to stand...and just move in general...all over...as fast as possible!

happy baby!

more sillies....

rachel's new, sleek hair....lasted one whole day!!! HA HA
lots has been going on...most of it little life moments....goals scored, pictures taken, fall briefly enjoyed, hair cut (by a professional) and a few minor injuries sustained. these are just a few snapshots of our exciting events! oh, and owen is eating us out of house and home....and he's decided he wants to run everywhere. he has already bumped his head a few times, and fell on the corner of a table (because he couldn't contain his excitement!) and busted his lip open. yes, he bled. and yes, i freaked a little. but we are okay. both of us. ha ha.

SWEET BOY!!!

BUBBLES!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!

well, it has been a while since i've posted anything...........one reason is i've not had much time, and another is computer problems. so here is a snapshot of our recent months......

school started early august...kindergarten and second grade! crazy!! owen is crawling and creeping and scaling walls with his fingertips. ha. he is standing alone and saying all kinds of syllables...most of them we can't understand, but there's the usual, ma-ma, da-da, ga-ga, na-na, booooo, rooooo, etc. etc. he's soooo sweet and tough. the girls think he is their baby doll and i have even caught them playing with him in their 'school' and they use him as a participant in their games. i pray over them often!

we've enjoyed some time outside...soccer is beginning....rach is losing teeth but gaining the ability to ride her bike without training wheels. olivia is tall and is loving school. lots going on. time is flying. hoping to remember all these years of going to and fro amid the demands of laundry, house cleaning, homework, and the occasional sleep............
