SPRING!

what a beautiful spring week...lee and i were so excited to have a few days to ourselves this week while the girls were out for spring holidays. they went to visit nana in hattiesburg and then mamaw and papaw in columbia. lee and i got to visit with some family as well for a short time. since they've been home we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at around here. we have cleaned up, cleaned out, burned leaves, worked on flower beds, and just had some fun and even some quiet time. it has been great! we spent most of the week outdoors...which has been FABULOUS!!

the girls had a blast at the ag museum and picnic. they were a little concerned seeing the old doctor's office...olivia was not too thrilled with seeing the doctor mannequin they had. rachel of course wanted to climb up everything with stairs and jumped off anything that was tall enough. the chapel was closed for some reason, and we got some nasty stares when we walked up to the pony corral. they are only for parties but we didn't know. we just wanted to see them really. olivia made sure we knew she would NOT ride one, even if available. rachel cried as we walked away and only stopped crying when we went into the general store to purchase ice cold drinks in glass bottles. her choice for her special prize?? a blue snake. sigh. anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches and chips on the grounds. it was fun.

Valentine's Pics

Olivia's gift to us for Valentine's Day...I think Rachel helped some too. Part of this is still on our patio! ha. And that is Thomas she's holding, I'm sure he did his part to help as well. The other is Rachel's signature on all her classmates' cards...she wrote her name on 16 cards and did such a good job!

what a month!

Wow. I can't believe it's been almost a month since I posted last. Seems like it was just Valentine's weekend. Since then we've really gotten into the swing of soccer and have been sooo busy with activities. We are now getting ready for spring break next week...wow how the year is flying by.

We have spring fever at our house right now. We planted some flowers yesterday afternoon and really have enjoyed spending that time outside with the girls. Thank goodness it's not freezing right now.

I will be posting some videos if i can figure out how to do it and will try to catch up on some new random shots of the girls. They are a mess!
