Second round of birthdays and fall events!

Happy Birthday OLIVIA!!!

Well, this is our busiest family time of year...so many birthdays, fall parties, festivals, impending births, etc.!!!
LOTS TO CELEBRATE!!!

We basically celebrate birthdays for two weeks straight in our home. And it will only get worse after this year. ha ha.
we sure know how to get things done all at once.

Olivia's 'real' birthday dinner on Tuesday was our most recent event. Her meal choice?? Homemade PIZZAS! She has a new webkinz as her little birthday happy and we had many crazy moments around the table that night...as you can see...

We kept having to explain to Rachel when her 'real' birthday is.......just six more days Rach! Hmmm. Lee was there the whole time...how did he miss being in all these pics??
Next....we had a Birthday Girl outing...a special treat to get our nails done! Olivia chose a pretty, girlie pink color, trimmed in silver...and Rachel, our funky chick, chose electric BLUE!

So, Happy Halloween from the Stegalls...stay tuned for another round of pics after we have a birthday party, trick-or-treating, another fall festival, costume party, and Rachel's 'real' birthday...all over the next THREE DAYS!!! WOO HOO. Then maybe I can relax until baby Owen arrives. :) Have a great day!

Baby Moon weekend

Well, they say it's always good to try to get away for some time alone before you have a baby...so we did just that this weekend. Thanks to lee's mom living close and being free, we were able to just pick up and leave within about 1 hour of making the decision to go to the ole miss-ark game saturday. we drove up friday night and I actually had a great night's sleep. then we got up and headed to the game...sat in a lot of traffic...but enjoyed a very pleasant day in oxford. the weather was perfect and we lucked up with some excellent tickets. you will see in the pictures that we were straddling the 50 yard line and were only on row 14. (bathrooms were very close too).
although we sat directly in the sun the entire game, i never was uncomfortable. by the second half the breeze was cool again! the walk through the grove was very nice and the entire trip was surprisingly relaxing. i'm so glad we went. The girls had a blast hanging out with Ms. Joyce and helping her prepare cookies for the fall festival...and we had fun cheering on the rebels and spending some quality time together.

I can't believe this pregnancy is almost over! just a few more weeks and we will meet baby owen. his room is ready and he has more clothes than any boy should have! i am going this week to get the car seat and go ahead and get it installed in the car. i may let the girls practice with a baby doll in the seat so they can see how it's going to be...without the screaming and crying of a real baby. ha ha.
This week i'm planning a little halloween themed party for the girls...however, if i don't sit down and actually invite some people, they will not be very happy with me! HA.
We had our fall festival at church this afternoon. Olivia was hannah montana and rachel was hello kitty. they were so funny... as usual...
love to all! we'll keep you posted as we progress along......going back to the doc this week for some routine tests and weekly checkup. have a good week!!!

Baby Shower #1

My first baby shower for baby Owen. So many wonderful, special friends and family came to shower us with gifts and well wishes. I'm so very thankful that I have been blessed with an amazing network of support. I've heard it said that if you make it through life with one true friend then you are truly blessed. Well, I have been thoroughly blessed with more than one true friend. I love each of you and appreciate the unique blessings that you all bring to my life! And thank GOD for my family. I have such a rich heritage and am so thankful for that. The memories and experiences I've been afforded are worth more than gold.
That being said........the shower was more than just a time of monetary gifts. It was a time for me to look around the room and be amazed at what God has given me.......it was fitting that we started the day with tears (happy tears thanks to Kim and her sweet prayer)...and ended with laughter, side-splitting, crazy laughter that only girlfriends can share. What a crew!
My dear sister, Devon, trying really hard to avoid the camera. HA. Good luck with that.

Me and Mamaw...
Devon, Me, Rachel (who refused to play with the other kids) and Nanny
The grandmothers...........hey, we are all fairly coordinated too...how nice.!

Mamaw, Nana, Devon and Me........and rachel, in the midst of a meltdown (which are more common these days as the baby day approaches....) 4 generations...
All the females in the fam....

Nanny and the girls....

My dear friends....

and I hate that i missed photo opportunities with my other friends who were there.......I realized how many I missed taking shots of! Sigh.
